ALC Board announces new Chairperson

The ALC Board is pleased to announce that Mrs Cheryl Bartel has been elected as its new Chairperson. Cheryl, who was appointed to the Board following the 2018 General Convention of Synod and who has served as Vice-Chair since September 2020, is well versed in all aspects of governance and has substantial leadership experience.

During her time on the Board, Cheryl has been instrumental in facilitating the current strategic planning process, developing and implementing an enterprise risk management framework and a long-term marketing strategy for the College. Amongst her qualifications, she is proud to hold a Masters of Education and Theology, awarded from the University of Divinity in 2017 following completion of studies through ALC.

Cheryl, who resides in Geelong (Victoria), replaces Professor Kristine Gebbie, who died in May following a battle with cancer.
