In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in the interest of our community’s health and safety, a number of changes are being implemented at ALC.

  • As from Monday 23 March until the end of Semester 1, ALC will no longer conduct classes on campus where students are physically present. These classes will move to online delivery, commencing as soon as practicable.
  • Daily worship will continue to be held at 10.25 am, with staff and students gathering together remotely through an online platform.

The teaching period for this semester will be officially extended by one week—until 5 June—to enable any classes experiencing a delay to complete their required academic program.

Principal, Pastor James Winderlich said, ‘ALC is well placed to deal with the situation that has presented itself, as it has been streaming classes to students enrolled in Discover since the start of this academic year and has the necessary infrastructure in place. A care plan has also been formulated to ensure that students and staff are supported during this period of imposed isolation. Our Leadership Team is closely monitoring advice from the authorities regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and will be regularly reviewing the strategies it has put in place for managing this crisis.’

As a precautionary measure, a number of upcoming events have been cancelled, including the March Research Seminar and the Specific Ministry Pastors workshop scheduled for May. Please check the Calendar page closer to the date of each remaining event for further details as the situation continues to evolve.

The campus, including the library, will remain open to visitors for the time being, however the preferred mode of contact with staff during this time is via phone or email, rather than face to face.
