Free online short course opportunity: Introducing the Psalms

Members, friends and contacts of the LCA are invited to participate in ALC’s first-ever online short course, Introducing the Psalms. Led by Old Testament lecturer, LCA pastor and author, Rev Dr Adam Hensley, this three-part series of live online sessions is available without cost to anyone who can access the internet. In the Psalms we can hear our own voice and God’s reply. They take us through journeys from the depths of despair to seasons of celebration and thankfulness. If you are missing exploring God’s word with members of your local community, then why not become part of ours? Neither age, background, location nor previous education matter—anyone who is interested in learning more about the diverse genres of the Psalms, their origin and importance in the worship life of Israel and their significance for biblical faith, is invited and encouraged to register.

The course will occur on three consecutive Tuesdays from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm SA time commencing on 19 May. Registered participants will be emailed a Zoom link to access the sessions, which will include a pre-session to practise logging in if required.
