Students in this unit will examine the biblical foundations for mission and the significance of Lutheran confessional distinctives for the mission of the church. In addition to assessing the Lutheran Church of Australia’s approach to world mission, students will evaluate the Catechumenate and other evangelism/catechetical resources. They will also reflect on different approaches to the starting of new congregations and approaches to mission in agencies of the Lutheran Church in Australia.
