Programs and courses
ALC offers undergraduate courses to provide foundational studies in theology as well as postgraduate courses providing theological education at an advanced level.
We also offer opportunities for practical fieldwork education and formation for those who are seeking to deepen their faith and/or learn practical skills for specific ministries within the mission of the church.
For more detail, see the current student handbook.
Delivery modes
There are a number of ways you can connect with learning at ALC. Each mode of learning is equivalent, and students often choose what suits their learning requirements. Sometimes location or vocational program will require a specific mode of study.
Your study attendance is via three broad categories:
- Internal: Always physically attending a campus or specified location at a specified time, including face to face classes, with a scheduled class delivered in real time.
- External: Never physically attending a campus or specified location, including online study materials that you work through in your own time, or online – synchronous which involves participation in lectures at a specified time.
- Multi-Modal: Sometimes physically attending a campus or specified location—a combination of Internal and External
