New lecturer for ALC

At its May meeting, the College of Bishops extended a call under assignment to Rev Dr Eric Trozzo to serve as ALC’s Director of Systematic Theology and Church History. The call was issued following Eric’s successful application to join the LCA Roll of Pastors.

Eric, after prayerful discernment, has accepted the call and will commence working in this role from July.

Eric is a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, whose research areas include systematic theology, cross-cultural theology and philosophical theology. He is highly qualified for this position and is an experienced lecturer.

For the past eight years, Eric has contributed to ALC’s research output as an Honorary Research Associate and has also supervised a number of ALC’s post-graduate students. Since January 2025, Eric has contributed to ALC’s teaching program as a casual academic.

On receiving the news that Eric had accepted the call to serve at ALC, Principal Tim Stringer said, ‘We are very pleased that Eric has been assigned to ALC and look forward to welcoming him and his wife Wendolyn to Australia later this year.’

While Eric and his wife await entry into Australia, Eric will teach remotely for ALC from overseas.
