- Domestic students (from Australia and New Zealand) can study all of our higher education courses. Students from Australia can enrol in our VET course.

Application process
Choose your level of study
Before enrolling in the Certificate IV course, please familiarise yourself with VET study information, and especially read the VET Student Handbook before commencing your study.
Note the term dates for study at Key dates.
It’s a good idea to contact ALC VET staff for course advice before you apply.
All applications are processed through the Adelaide College of Divinity via the ACD online admission form.
The application fee (see VET fees) must be paid with your application.
ACD evaluates your course application and notifies you of the result.
When your application is approved, you will receive information from ACD on how to enrol in your subjects.
If you haven’t yet discussed your subject enrolment with ALC VET staff, contact them at vet@alc.edu.au.
To enrol in your subjects, follow the instructions received in your email from ACD.
Subject fees (see VET fees) must be paid at the time of enrolment.
When your subject enrolment has been processed, ACD notifies ALC.
ALC Student Records sends you a ‘Confirmation of enrolment’ email which includes details of your ALC email address and login for ALC iLearn to access your subject material.
Access to subject material is available from the start of the term of enrolment (see VET key dates). Early access may be available on request to the Director of VET (email vet@alc.edu.au).

Organise your proposed principal and associate supervisors. Find a supervisor or request assistance from ALC’s Associate Dean for Research.
Prepare your research proposal incorporating the following information:
- Thesis title (provisional)
- An outline of your proposed project (2000 words), including:
- Statement of its originality and significance
- Description of the proposed methodology
- Statement of the anticipated benefits of the research
- Indicative bibliography
- Brief description of resources needed for the project (e.g. library, field work, interviews, software)
- Skills needed to complete the thesis and your level of qualification in them (e.g. biblical languages)
- Any other information
Arrange for two academic referees to provide a Confidential Academic Referee Report to the UD Research Office by the application closing date.

Successful overseas applicants who are studying onshore must be in Australia and able to attend the orientation day for HDR candidates. The orientation day is usually held one week prior to the first day of semester: mid-February for semester 1 commencement, mid-July for semester 2 commencement.
