Why Choose a Christian Counselling Degree?
In a world of generic counselling programs, the Bachelor of Counselling at the University of Divinity stands apart. We believe that lasting wellbeing encompasses the spiritual dimension — and our curriculum reflects that conviction. You'll graduate not only as a skilled, accredited counsellor, but as someone who contributes human flourishing.
Our degree is grounded in the belief that people of faith bring something unique to the counselling room: hope, compassion, and a narrative of redemption. Whether you're serving in a faith community, hospital, school, or private practice, this degree gives you the tools to make a genuine difference.
Our Degree is Built On
✦ The conviction that every person is made in the image of God and therefore is spiritual and relational ✦ A narrative that highlights redemptive possibilities and genuine hope ✦ A commitment to showing hospitality and generosity to all — regardless of background or faith ✦ Integrating clinical best practice with faith, and personal context ✦ A "wounded healer" model — your own lived experience becoming an asset in the counselling room ✦ A focus on virtues: hope, courage, compassion — not just clinical technique
